Last days before retirement after 35 years of baking

that can take a toll on your body and mind if you don't take care of yourself.
As a second generation baker, I took up the job of training at an educational bakery.Training required me to work in educational settings for several years before I could become a certified teacher. This meant I had to work part-time while completing my training and certification.
I also had to work full-time in a regular bakery during my training so that I could gain experience that would benefit my students.
Since I was young and starting out in the baking business, my mother insisted that I get weekly breaks to do some light home baking during my working hours.
This was to keep me from getting burned out from the job.
My mother was right-baking is a demanding profession that can take a toll on your body and mind if you don't take care of yourself.
When I started working as a trainee, I had no idea how difficult baking was. Everything about the job is demanding: the hours, the ingredients, and the equipment you use all require significant time and effort.
The physicality of baking is tiring as well; using the right amount of heat and time creates physical stress on your body. Plus, you have to stand still while you put your ingredients in the pans, which takes time and reduces your mobility slightly.
Furthermore, there's always something new and complicated you need to learn in order to do your job well. It can be difficult to balance all these responsibilities with a healthy lifestyle.
